This major introduces students to key concepts and issues in governance, policy and public sector management. The major is a required major in the Bachelor of Politics and International Relations and may be taken as an open elective major in any degree in the University. Students completing this major obtain skills for careers in government and non-government agencies and may gain employment as policy advisors in a range of fields. This major may be completed as an 18, 21 24 credit point major by choosing six or seven or 8 of the listed units. In order to enrol in unit 7533 Global Challenges in Governance, students must first have completed unit 8296 Introduction to Politics and Government.
