THIS MAJOR IS CLOSED TO STUDENTS COMMENCING IN 2021 OR LATER.
This major develops a sound understanding of a wide range of biological principles and analytical and field applications. There is an opportunity to tailor the major to specific discipline areas including: Physiology, Cellular Biology/Biochemistry or Microbiology. It provides: a foundation for students pursuing a career in industry or as secondary biology teachers; and, support for research or professions in other scientific discipline areas.
Familiarity with Biology or Chemistry to Year 11/12 would be useful.
Note: Units studied under the Major in Biology 1 cannot count towards completion of this Major.
