This major provides an opportunity for students to extend their knowledge of public sector management, governance and the policy process. It introduces students to how countries are administered, to how governments exercise their powers, build trust and work in partnerships with community and private sector organisations to deliver programs. It explores the work of government and other organisations and how they make, communicate and evaluate decisions and future opportunities and risks. It may be taken as an Open Major by students enrolled in any non-management degree course of the University. Students will choose 1 unit (3cp) at level 1, & select an additional 5 units at level 2/3. Two of the later units may be taken from the restricted choice major in Government and Politics.
