Introduction

This major will allow students to develop their language and cultural skills in Chinese, according to the entry level of competence they have when entering their studies. By the end of the major students will have acquired an advanced level of communicative skills and cultural awareness in their chosen language. Students wishing to undertake a 21cp major will also study Special Studies in Modern Languages A (level 3 at 3 credit points). Students wishing to undertake a 24cp major will also study Special Studies in Modern Languages A (level 3 at 3 credit points) and Special Studies in Modern Languages B (level 3 at 3Credit points).

Students are required to demonstrate their level of proficiency to begin the major
