This Core Major provides students with a strong interdisciplinary foundation in the political and social sciences. Students engage with key themes in politics, economics, and sociology, while developing essential research and analytical skills relevant to government and public policy contexts. The core begins with foundational units in the first year and then deepens students' understanding through selected introductory units in economics, sociology, and public policy, allowing for a tailored exploration of social science disciplines. In the final year, students apply their learning in a capstone Professional Evidence unit and may choose from a range of professional practice options, including internships and applied policy studies.
