This major allows you to complement your studies with digital skills in Information Technology. In this major, you will develop a solid foundation in digital skills, including key cyber safety and security issues and technologies that are critical to individual and organisational digital security, data science, and IT technologies. Further opportunities to develop skills are provided across a range of units including organisational and enterprise use of technology and social media, applied programming and user interfaces, process-based systems, IT projects, AI, and legal issues relating to technology. This breadth major is open to all students of every course, other than students in the ITS and Engineering programs as this major is designed specifically for students who are not already undertaking in-depth IT/Engineering study.
Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
This breadth major is not available to students in the following courses: 322AA Bachelor of Information Technology, 560AA Bachelor of Software Engineering, 706AA Bachelor of Business Informatics, ITB101 Bachelor of Engineering Technology, ETB001 Bachelor of Engineering (Honours).
