This major will provide students with an introduction to the Australian legal system, including sources of law, the position of First Nations Australians and critical perspectives on law and society. Students can also select from a variety of units offering a deeper understanding of legal issues, including workplace law, human rights, family law, negotiation and advocacy, and Indigenous and environmental justice.
This major prepares students to teach Legal Studies in Secondary Schools.
This Breadth Major is only available to students enrolled in Secondary Education courses 347JA and 330JA.
