Collection changes Winter Term 2022

The Library has many projects underway during the quieter time of the year!

The Children's Literature collection and Folios (oversized books which don't fit onto the regular shelving) are now housed on Level C. The Thesis collection and DVDs which were previously on those shelves are currently in storage but can be requested on the Library catalogue.

(Many theses written at UC can be read online via the University of Canberra Research Portal, and Library staff have an ongoing project to scan and make available our older theses.)

Early childhood picture books are now in a lovely children's space at the back of Level B - this is designed for parents who need to bring their small children to campus while they study or use a computer in the Library.

The collections on Level D are currently undergoing a stocktake - every book is being scanned to check that they are in place and to find missing items that are on the wrong shelf. This is the first full stocktake since we opened the building!

Short loan items which are no longer on reading lists are being changed to longer loan periods.
