UC Scholarship recipient Elise Mullins is proof that donor support has made a real difference. Growing up in rural Goulburn, NSW, Elise was excited to attend University to study for a Bachelor of Primary Education. But the costs of living away from home proved too high.
Elise was forced to travel long distances from her home in Goulburn to attend classes in Canberra. The extra hours of travel and the long working hours ate into precious time Elise needed for study. Receiving the UC Scholarship was a lifeline for Elise.
Thanks to scholarship donors, Elise has been able to continue her university studies, and is one step closer to becoming a teacher, amplifying the power of education to change more young lives.
