Ready to secure your university spot and reduce the pressure of final exams?
As a Year 11 or 12 student, you have access to several early entry pathways that can help you get into university. We offer early admission schemes that look beyond your final ATAR, using your Year 11 results or your school's recommendation to give you a head start.
Explore your options to lock in an early offer and even earn university credit before you finish school.
Year 12 students who meet our standard entry academic requirements can apply to UC through the University Admissions Centre (UAC).
ACT Year 10 students can apply to study on campus in Year 11 and 12 and earn credit towards a UC degree.
Apply to our undergraduate courses in arts and design, the built environment, or communication and media study areas using your creative portfolio as the primary basis for admission.
If you’re a current Year 12 student applying to UC for undergraduate study next year, you could receive an early admission offer under the Early Offer Scheme using criteria other than your ATAR.
If you’re a current Year 12 student, your school can recommend you for admission to the University of Canberra in advance of receiving your ATAR results, based on your abilities and success to date.
If personal challenges have impacted your school results, we can help. This scheme provides a rank adjustment to ensure your circumstances are considered when we make an offer.

Adjustment factors are additional points that can be added to your Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR), or equivalent qualification, to boost your selection rank and help you get into your chosen course. A maximum of 20 adjustment factors can be added to your ATAR to create your selection rank. At UC, we award adjustment factors in three ways.
Adjustment factors awarded to recent Year 12 graduates based on your performance in Year 12 subjects directly related to your chosen UC course.
Processed via UAC, these adjustment factors are for Year 12 graduates who have experienced significant disadvantage in the final years of schooling.
Extra selection rank points for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, Australian Defence Force staff, army reservists and elite athletes.
Connect with our team to explore your study options, entry pathways and how your skills and work experience count towards entry into UC.
