Applying to study for a diploma, bachelor's degree, or postgraduate by coursework at the University of Canberra is easy. The application process will depend on a few different factors – the type of course you’re applying for, and your current study situation.
You are a domestic student if you are either
If you are not a domestic student applying for either a UC diploma, bachelor's degree, or postgraduate studies through coursework, we offer other application options.
If you’re currently completing Year 12 or have finished secondary school in the past two years, you’re considered a recent school leaver and are recommended to apply through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC).
When you apply through UAC you’ll automatically be considered for Year 12 adjustment factors and can also apply for other university entry program, such as the Schools Recommendation Scheme and Educational Access Scheme.
Apply through UACIf you intend to study a UC course in Brisbane through our partnership with TAFE Queensland, you should apply through the Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC).
Apply through QTACIf you

If you are not currently studying with UC and would like to study our Bachelor of Physiotherapy (202JA), you must apply through UAC

Cross-institutional study allows you to enrol in single units at UC and have these units credited towards your study at another institution. It’s important to gain approval from the institution that you’re currently enrolled with prior to applying to ensure the units you intend to study can be credited towards your degree.
To apply for cross-institutional study, go to the UC online application portal and search for the relevant course code below to complete your application:
Non-award study allows you to enrol in single units of study. Non-award study might suit you if you’re interested in studying for personal interest or upskilling for professional development.
As non-award study is not Commonwealth supported, you’ll be required to pay your fees upfront.
