Meet sufficient work experience requirements through one of three options below.
1. Work history equalling Equivalent Graduate Status including:
- Holding a Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree PLUS either 2 years of relevant work experience or 4 years of general work experience; OR
- Holding a Certificate IV or Year 12 qualification PLUS either 3 years of relevant work experience or 6 years of general work experience; OR
- Holding no formal qualifications and 7 years of relevant work experience or 10 years of general experience.
2. Employment at Skill Level 1 or 2 of the Australian Bureau of Statistics’ Occupation Standard Classification for Australia (OSCA). Skill Level 1 employment can be of any duration. Skill Level 2 employment must total at least two years of full-time experience.
3. Current or previous service in the Australian Defence Force (ADF) in one of the following positions:
- Commissioned Officer (any rank),
- Senior Non-Commissioned Defence Force Members with E-6 or above,
- Chaplain or Maritime Spiritual Wellbeing Officer
