The Graduate Certificate in Creative Industries is a cross-disciplinary course that will introduce students to key issues in the rapidly changing creative sectors. Creative industries today bring together a diverse array of professions, media and forms of knowledge. They face many challenges and opportunities, from the impact of new technologies to changes in funding models and markets, as well as the increasing importance of Indigenous cultures in the creative sphere. This course provides students with the opportunity to develop their creative industry skills and knowledge in a flexible and interdisciplinary learning environment. The course will attract enrolments from local and international markets, including established professionals wishing to enhance their understanding of contemporary and emergent issues impacting the creative industries, as well as students continuing their learning from undergraduate courses in field of creative arts, cultural heritage, media and communications.
Applicants must have an undergraduate degree (AQF level 7) or equivalent as approved by the University Admissions.
The following Defence members are eligible for direct entry into this course through the Veteran Tertiary Support Program - Postgraduate Course Entry:
- Commissioned Officer (any rank),
- Chaplain or Maritime Spiritual Wellbeing Officer,
- Senior Non-Commissioned Defence Force Members (E-6 or higher),
- Defence Force Members - Other Ranks (E-2 to E-5) with three or more years¿ experience.

Course duration
Standard 1 year part-time. Maximum 3 years from date of enrolment to date of course completion. This course is only available for part-time enrolment.
