You will study a range of compelling topics, including gender issues, poverty, conflict, HIV and agro-forestry, and will undertake your own individual development project. Your core skills will be strengthened for a career in the public development sector or in multinational organisations across Australia and abroad.

There are currently no formal credit transfer arrangements for entry to this course. Any previous study or work experience will only be considered as part of the application process in accordance with current course rules and university policy.

- 11714 Sustainable Development PG has replaced 8762 Rural Development and Agro-forestry PG.
- 11715 The Company and the Country: A story of development, disaster and disenfranchisement PG has replaced 8768 Micro-credit and Risk Management in Development PG.
- 11716 Global Health and Development PG has replaced 8771 Poverty, HIV/AIDS and Development PG.
- Students who have previously completed 8762, 8768 and 8771 can still count these units towards the completion of their course.
- 1. From 2024, 12073 Capital, Conquest, Colonialism, and Cold War: A history of International Development PG replaces 8767 History and Politics of the Theories of Development G.
- From 2024, students must complete either 8769 Monitoring and Evaluating International Development Project PG OR 8770 Planning and Designing International Development Projects PG
