There is growing demand for research evaluations that provide evidence of benefit and impacts of research on policy, practice and population health. But how do we assess impact beyond publications and citations?
Our expert presenters have developed the Global Impact Analytics Framework (GIAF) and toolkit over many years and have extensive practical experience conducting impact analyses of implementation research both in Australia and internationally.
Over two days, this short course will introduce you to the GIAF framework and tools that can be used to assess the impact of health and social science implementation research. The presenters provide practical demonstrations and case studies of how these are used to conduct an impact assessment.
You will gain fundamental knowledge and skills for conducting impact analysis using the GIAF. You'll get practical experience conducting mini-impact assessment and learn how to write an impact statement using a combination of narrative and numbers.
+Early bird registration closes 6 September 2026.
^Registrations close 25 October 2026, unless class capacity is reached prior to this date.
The course will provide new knowledge and skills for health and social science implementation practitioners, researchers, and research students.
