For Students
The Student Ambassador Program program has been running at UC for a number of years now and provides students with many exciting and challenging opportunities. Student Ambassadors are valued advisers, mentors, friends, guides and leaders.
As a Student Ambassador you will be required to assist with general marketing as well as special events including Orientation Weeks, Tertiary Open Day, various career expos, campus tours, schools visits and more!
The position of Student Ambassador is a very exciting and challenging role, looks great on your CV and is a fantastic way to enrich your university experience by giving something back to our community.
Student Ambassadors should have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude and be confident in sharing their university experiences with others. Applicants should be reliable, proactive and outgoing.
All ambassadors will receive full training.
Remuneration
All work is paid on a casual basis.
Levels of Employment
There are two key levels of employment available within the Student Ambassador Program:
- Student Ambassadors assist Marketing and International with major events and promotional activities. They are knowledgeable and passionate about their area of study and wish to share their experiences with others.
- A Senior Student Ambassador is expected to take on a higher level of responsibility and display a much greater commitment to the program than other ambassadors. The positions of Senior Student Ambassadors will be awarded to those applicants who show exceptional leadership qualities and a willingness to take on greater responsibility within the team. To be eligible for these positions, Senior Student Ambassadors must have at least six months experience in the Student Ambassador program.
Please note: These positions are open to Domestic Students only (students with Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency).

The Semester 2 intake for the 2012 Student Ambassador program is now closed. The next intake for 2013 will be advertised later this year.
We actively recruit twice a year and advertise on the Current Students home page when we are recruiting.
