How to Apply
International Applicants: Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE)
The University of Canberra is undertaking GTE assessments for applicants from India, Nepal, Pakistan, Vietnam and China.
If you are applying from one of these countries please ensure you have included in your application the following additional document and information: an employment reference letter for all employment and the referee reports include the information below.
Employment reference letters are acceptable if they meet the following requirements:
- Employment reference letter is the letter issued by the employer and should be with a current date if you are still employed. It will have your name, position held, period of employment and roles/responsibilities. For previous employment a leaving certificate is acceptable with your name, position held and period of employment. Employment reference letter does not mean appointment letter or offer of appointment that was issued prior to joining the organisation.
- It should be on the company's official letter head with name and title of the person who has issued the letter. It must include the company's address and contact details in the form of landline numbers, company's website and official email ids.
Referee Details: are acceptable if they meet the following requirements:
- The referees have provided an official email address.
- There is information about how they are associated with you, in what capacity and the duration of association.
