The University of Canberra offers higher degree by research scholarships to enable suitably qualified students to undertake full-time study towards a research higher degree. Selection is based on academic merit and research potential. These scholarships are tenable for up to three years for a PhD. Applicants must indicate they wish to study full time to ensure they are assessed as eligible.

The Research Students' Office administers the application process for domestic and international applicants and manages the administration processes during the tenure of the scholarship. Please see the Scholarships Flowchart (PDF) for a detailed view of the scholarship assessment process.
