Biography

Chris has been a High School teacher for many years and has taught in three schools in the ACT and NSW.

He passionate about teaching and has taught many subjects including most SOSE subjects including Business Studies, Economics, Geography, History and Commercial studies as well as  English, Maths, PE and IT

Chris has held leadership positions in schools for many years, most recently as Deputy of Marist College, Canberra.

Chris's particular focus has been on student wellbeing and good mental health and the relationship between wellbeing and academic performance. He is a strong supporter of the MindMatters mental health initiative ( and Kidsmatter, the primary school equivalent) and has been involved with the program for about 13 years. Most recently, Chris led a targeted students program at Marist College which used evidence based data to support students who were not engaging well academically.
