This hands-on unit will introduce students to digital and physical fabrication tools and techniques. Students will design, make and test digital and or physical prototypes to solve a design problem. They will gain knowledge and experience in the use of various digital media technologies, virtual and physical modelling techniques and the application of suitable materials and prototyping methods.
1. Critically evaluate and apply a variety of methods involved in the design development;
2. Apply the design process to respond to a project brief and provide solutions to a design problem; and
3. Professionally design and present solution using appropriate selection of written, graphic, digital and oral communication to clients.
