This Project is a contemporary music composition that re-designs the theme music for the characters from the film"Brave" in the style of a ballet. I have created music for Merida, Queen Elinor, King Fergus and the triplets, as well as a duet for the king and queen. It has aimed to encompass the culture of Scottish music through the use of bagpipes, the Scottish pentatonic, strathspeys and more. It also uses ballet appropriate tempos and dynamics as well as the use of orchestral instruments commonly heard in ballet music. I hope you enjoy Brave: The Ballet.
