A side table was made for a client to address an issue. The issue I chose was the increasing number of injuries caused by sharp edges to children. In empathetic research, it was found that clients feared their children injuring themselves on the sharp edges. The side table includes a drawer for clients to store their items and is made from environmentally friendly materials to impact society positively. The side table was assembled using wooden joinery techniques. The style of Biomorphism was used in the design through curves to reduce the issue of children injuring themselves on sharp edges.
