Mystical Dystopia

In this project I looked at combining elements of science fiction and fantasy to create a scene of mundane serenity. I was inspired by the city buildings I grew up around and altered many building appearances to look more futuristic with the addition of neon lighting and fine details. I wanted the piece to appear a seperate reality where mystical creatures in urban landscapes were a normal part of living and fit well into the environment of the city. The character therefore offers not much emotion as she appears unfazed by the events the environment offers.
