Uncanny

This oil painting is an amalgamation of the uncanny and otherworldly nature of an existing interior urban space. It provides a new perspective of audience's everyday experiences of walking down the subway, and being guided or followed by a shadow or unknown figure. This painting was a result of a two week-long intensive study into oil painting techniques and explores a classic modernist but contemporary appropriation of the artworks "Losing the Last Rights" (2021) by Stamatis Laskos and "The Tube Station" (1932) by Cyril Power.
