Ascension

The enigmaticy of death strengthens the precedence of transcendent movement. Ascension captures a profound moment of metamorphosis; the figure rejects natural laws and ascends. Vivid streaks of colour cascade from the body, representing the figure's shedding of mortality. The man lets go of control, opening his arms to accept the inevitability of his final movement. The transition from life to death is one’s ultimate act of movement, the boundaries of existence blur and the soul ascends.
