"Nostalgia" by Isla Edwards is a captivating digital painting that blurs the lines between the past, present, and future. Urging viewers to delve deeper into their own memories. Central to the artwork is a young girl, with a happy expression, her laughter is almost audible. The details in the clothing and background echo the simplicity and joy of a time when life moved at a slower pace. Playing with shadow, light and blurred edges created a hazy, glazed canvas which shows how our memories are not always remembered crystal clear in our minds. Drawn on Procreate Ipad, took just over 21 hours.
