Labour of Louisa tells the story of a young girl, who lives and works on her family’s farm along with her Aunt Mariam and co-worker Eddie. Louisa soon discovers that she is pregnant, much to the disapproval of her overbearing, religious Aunt and is subjected to her ongoing abuse. But as she begins to accept what is to become of her life, she learns some sinister things about the people around her, and the pregnancy itself.
