I believe a pavilion is a structure that is semi-permanent or temporary, meaning it can be assembled, disassembled, and reassembled. Pavilions are structures that are beneficial to humans as the provide functionality and to service a need. A pavilion can service a need in a variety of ways - this includes shelter, entertainment, sporting, seating, relaxation, education and numerous other capabilities.
