The University of Canberra continues to monitor the unfolding COVID-19 pandemic to ensure that we respond effectively and appropriately in the best interests of our students, staff, and broader community. We will be implementing a range of measures to keep our visitors and community safe during our on-campus Open Day, including encouraging attendees to:

  • Monitor and follow ACT Government health advice
  • Check in using the Check In CBR app
  • Maintain a safe, physical distance of 1.5m from others, and make use of a face mask where physical distancing cannot be maintained
  • Practice good hand hygiene and utilise hand sanitiser stations available on campus
  • Consider the use of face masks (free masks will be made available to attendees); and
  • Sneeze or cough into your elbow or tissue.

The University is closely monitoring ACT Health advice regarding the management of activities on campus in the current environment. Should the situation change, the University will respond in accordance with ACT Health requirements, which could include postponing our Open Day to a different date, or changing the mode of engagement for Open Day to an online delivery. It is highly recommended that you register your interest in attending Open Day so that we can communicate with you directly, should the situation change.

Getting to campus is easy. We are well serviced by public transport, and we have ample car parking on campus that will be free on the day. Best parking is in carparks ‘P9’ which are labelled on the campus map.

Open Day will be held from 9am to 3pm. To ensure that we can manage the flow of people on campus to maintain our COVID-safe measures, we are asking guests to register their attendance for one of three timeslots: 9am-11am, 11am-1pm, 1pm-3pm. When you register to attend, please select the timeslot that best suits you. Please note registrations for each timeslot are limited.

When you arrive on campus, head towards the Concourse between Building 1 and Building 5 to check in. We will have plenty of signage across the campus to direct you there. You will be required to check in via the Check In CBR App before exploring the campus.

No. You will only need to register for your nominated timeslot and ensure you arrive on campus during this time.

All course information sessions will be delivered online, which can be viewed prior to attending Open Day on campus. There are a limited number of information sessions that will be delivered live on the day, however bookings are not required.

Campus tours will depart every 15 minutes from the main Concourse. Each tour will be limited to 25 people. Bookings are not required for tours.

We will have limited information sessions delivered in-person. The schedule of these sessions may change, so please check back regularly for the most up to date information.

Open Day is not just for Year 12 students. If you are in Years 9, 10, or 11, Open Day is an excellent opportunity to start exploring your tertiary study options at UC.

We will have a dedicated Postgrad Information Hub for those who are looking to upskill with a postgraduate degree or professional short course, and you can even book a one-on-one consultation with a course convenor.

Don’t forget, Open Day is a great opportunity for you to bring your parents, family, and friends to experience all that UC has to offer!

Yes. Our campus accommodation provider, UniLodge, will be offering accommodation tours throughout the day. You will not need to book to attend accommodation tours, but these will be limited to 25 people per tour.

If you cannot attend Open Day on campus, you can still engage online by accessing UC On Demand course information videos, chatting live online with staff, and viewing virtual tours.

If you would like to experience the UC campus in person at another time, keep an eye on our events page for other upcoming events. We also offer bespoke campus tours for individuals, which can be booked through our campus tour booking form. Please note, bookings require three working days' notice.
