Major in Spanish (Intermediate-Advanced)

Introduction

This major will allow students to develop their language and cultural skills in Chinese, Japanese or Spanish according to the entry level of competence they have when entering the studies in their chosen language. By the end of the major students will have acquired an advanced level of communicative skills and cultural awareness in their chosen language. Students wishing to undertake a 21cp major will also study Special Studies in Modern Languages A (level 3 at 3 Credit points). Students wishing to undertake a 24cp major will also study Special Studies in Modern Languages A (level 3 at 3 Credit points) and Special Studies in Modern Languages B (level 3 at 3 Credit points).
Advanced units in Spanish are not on offer in 2013. Please contact the Faculty of Arts and Design for further information.

Students are required to demonstrate their level of proficiency to begin the major.
