University of Canberra Young Writer’s Initiative

UWrite@UC! is an exciting free opportunity for high school and college students from the ACT and surrounding regions to spend two days this year on campus at The University of Canberra developing their creative writing skills and meeting and working with other like-minded students. Each full day workshop is led by an award-winning Australian author, and participants will have the opportunity to write, read, listen to and learn from some of Australia’s most highly skilled and dynamic writers.

UWrite@UC! masterclasses are presented by established, award-winning Australian authors and illustrators, and facilitated by Creative writing teachers from the University of Canberra – come and learn from professional, published writers who will share with you their tips and tricks, take you through their approaches to creative writing, and help you find your own voice and style.
