Rising star Kita Alexander is taking her highly awaited debut album ‘Young in Love’ on tour around Australia this April. The national tour will stop in Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne,and Canberra, supported by triple j. The tour is a follow up to her sold-out debut Australian tour earlier in the year. Kita’s album tour will deliver her dynamic and captivating live show across the country. Thursdays we transform the UC Hub at the Food Pantry into a repair cafe from 11am-1pm where you can come down and learn how you can repair your old clothes to have them last longer. 

Do you love to be creative with words and visuals? Are you looking for opportunities to socialise and collaborate with other writers and creatives? Well, look no further than the Curieux Collective! The group is a chance to enjoy creative activities with like-minded people. We aim to promote a relaxed environment where we can encourage and inspire each other creatively.Come along and spend some time working on your personal projects, your uni work, or just hang out and chat!Curieux Collective meets from 3:30-5:30pm, every second Thursday. Meetings are held in 1C75 (above the refectory). 

Sometimes it is hard to meet new people, or to find opportunities to practice speaking in English. We wanted to provide a chance to help you with this. Our English Conversation Club is an informal time, not a structured class. In a small group we talk about a different topic each meeting, with a native English speaker. Improve your English by practicing your speaking and listening, and make some new friends along the way! Anyone is welcome join this activity! The English Conversation Club is a free activity especially for international students or visiting scholars from overseas. But anyone who wants to practice their English is welcome.We are currently holding the English Conversation Club online using Microsoft Teams and at the same time meeting in-person in 1C100, as a "mixed-mode".If you are interested in joining the activity please contact the organiser, Craig Johnson, to confirm online details.

Come and join us to do some bouldering and share a drink or two.  All abilities are welcome. Mountain Strong has a vast range of ability levels, from beginner to expert! This is a good way to meet some like-minded outdoorsy people in Canberra.  The bouldering starts at Mountain Strong (66-68 Townsville St, Fyshwick ACT 2609) at 5 pm. Then we will head to Captial Brewing Co. (Building 3/1 Dairy Rd, Fyshwick ACT 2609) for a bevvy and some food. There will most likely be someone in their UCOC shirt to identify who is with the club easily.  If you can’t make it at 5 pm, we will be bouldering until about 6-6.30 pm, so please feel free to join us later.  The bouldering and beers/burgers are at your own expense.  Entry to Mountain Strong is $13 for club members, which covers entry and shoe hirer. For non-members, it is $16.  On Friday, 9 February, the first 20 people will have free entry to Mountain Strong. You will need to pay the entry fee if you are not one of the 20 people.  We head to Moutain Strong on the first Friday of most months. All the dates are listed below. UC Medical and Counselling Centre and the Citizen Centred Justice Clinic (CCJC) are offering a FREE Will information seminar for staff and students at the University of Canberra. Jet are Nic Cester (vocals/guitar), Chris Cester (vocals/drums), Cam Muncey (vocals/guitar) and Mark Wilson (bass).   Formed in Melbourne in the late ’90s, Jet released their first EP, the vinyl-only Dirty Sweet in 2002. Get Born was released after their label deal with Elektra and was followed by the albums Shine On in 2006 and Shaka Rock in 2009. After riding a wave of international success, Jet disbanded in 2012 before re-forming in early 2017. We will do a morning walk with the potential for outdoor bouldering at Cooleman Ridge.  Starting at 10 am, meeting at -35.371862, 149.049709 on Namatjira Drive, we will be walking a trail on the ridge.

If you want to get into x-country skiing but haven’t managed to hit the slopes, this is your chance. Get your mittens on some bowls and your tootsies on the green.  A social gatho at the Ruc (54 McCaughey St, Turner ACT 2612) and a reason to get bowling on the green.  Starting around 3 pm, come down for bowls and grab a beer or two after.  All the bowls will be paid for by the club. Just make sure to buy a ticket so we can provide a bar tab. All you need to do is turn up and play.  Tickets are $20 per person and covers you from 3 pm until the tab runs out.   Hope to C U there!
