The Japan Teaching and Exchange Programme (JET) Programme has sent more than 70,000 participants from around the world (including nearly 4,500 Australians) to work in schools, boards of education, and local government offices throughout Japan since 1987.
The Japan Teaching and Exchange Programme (JET) Programme has sent more than 70,000 participants from around the world (including nearly 4,500 Australians) to work in schools, boards of education, and local government offices throughout Japan since 1987.
What makes the JET Programme unique is that it is one of the world’s largest international exchange programs. With more than 54 countries participating in 2019, JET offers a unique cultural exchange opportunity to meet people in Japan and from all around the world.
Successful applicants work as Assistant Language Teachers* and Coordinators for International Relations in local government offices and schools in Japan.
*Japanese language ability or teaching qualifications not essential!
