Are you a current UC student running a business?                                                                                                                                                                      

Register to pitch your business idea – and be in the running for some terrific prizes, and the opportunity to attend the Global Leadership Conference, which attracts between 2,000 to 3,000 entrepreneurs each year. 

If you win the University of Canberra Heat, the prize is 12 months in the Entrepreneurs’ Organisation Accelerator program, with access to a mentor and quarterly learning days on Strategy, Execution, People and Cash. 

Local heat: Five-minute pitch with a three-minute Q and A.

The next round is the Australian final to be held on 20 November. 

National Final: 10-minute pitch with a five-minute Q and A.

Winners (2-3 students) will represent Australia in the Semi Finals in Japan in February 2025. 

Winners of the Japan finals will go on to the Grand Final in Hawaii (April 2025), at which you have the chance to win a share of a whopping USD$100,000 prize money. 

Eligibility

1. You must be enrolled in a university/college as an undergraduate or graduate* student at the time of application. Full-time enrolment is not required; part-time enrolment is acceptable.
2. You must be the owner, founder or controlling shareholder of your company and principally responsible for its operation. Each company can be represented by only one owner/co-founder.
3. Operation of a for-profit business or social enterprise, for at least six months before the competition date joined with generated revenue of USD$500 or USD$1,000 in investment/backing.
4. You should not have been one of the top finalists, competing in the final round competition, from any previous year's GSEA Global Finals Competition.
5. The age cap for participation is 30 years of age.

*Graduate students are eligible to apply only if they have continually enrolled in a university following their undergraduate degree and not left school to work on their business or to seek other employment. Exceptions can be made for students who have taken up to one academic year break before beginning their postgraduate education.
