Celebration of Ann Harding AO FASSA

Celebration of Ann Margaret Harding AO FASSA (18 May 1958 – 30 January 2023) Australian economist and Emeritus Professor at the University of Canberra.

The Faculty of Business, Government & Law invites you to attend the commemoration of Ann's Harding's life.

Join us to celebrate her contributions and legacy across the University of Canberra, NATSEM, the Australian Public Service and community.

This is a free event for Ann's professional associates, friends and family and features key speakers who will present the various stages of Ann’s impressive career. 

Additional Information

Ann was the founder and inaugural Director of the National Centre for Social and Economic Modelling (NATSEM). She founded the Centre in January 1993 and held the position of Director for 16 years before stepping down in mid-2009 to take on a research-based role within NATSEM and UC. In 2011, Ann was bestowed the title of Emerita Professor by UC. Ann published widely on income inequality, poverty, and the distributional impact of government programs, and was a prolific contributor to public policy debate in Australia.
