Earn while you Learn: Paid casual roles for Education students

This session brings together representatives from the Catholic Education Office, the Association of Independent Schools, ACT Education Directorate and Queanbeyan High School to provide information on finding and applying for casual roles, such as Learning Support Assistants (LSA), in local schools.

Working as an LSA is a great way for education students to increase their professional skills and networks in schools, ensuring students graduate with a well rounded experience through placements and relevant work experience.

All students are welcome to attend, but particularly those in first or second year of an education degree.

Please register asap!

Please note, for all in-person events on campus, that it is a requirement to NOT attend this event if you are displaying any symptoms of COVID-19 or have travelled from a COVID-19 affected area as listed in the ACT Public Health Emergency Directions. You must notify staff if you become unwell during the event, and you are expected to comply with all physical distancing requirements as per University of Canberra policy. Please ensure you have the Check in CBR app installed on your phone, as use of this app is required to enter the event venue.
