Transcending The Binary
On March 31, we celebrate International Transgender Day of Visibility by transcending the binary.
Harry addresses in his engaging talk the following questions:
How does living in a binary world constrain people's lives?
What blocks does binary thinking put in the way of each of us realising our potential?
How might the world be different if we weren't constrained by the dominant thinking about there only being two genders?
What is it like to navigate the world when you don't fit neatly into either end of the gender binary?
About the speaker
Harry Mahony advocates for workplaces to be safe spaces where people are not locked into binary thinking. He identifies as trans masc and is writing his memoir on the challenges of transitioning in mid-life.
