FAD Research Workshop: Writing and Winning ARC Grants

The Faculty of Arts & Design in hosting a grant writing workshop for Discovery and DECRA applicants. There are limited spaces so please register your interest by emailing FacultyofArts&Design-Research@canberra.edu.au by COB Thu 26 September.

This workshop will be of particular value to anyone thinking about submitting an ARC Grant application in the 2021 or 2022 assessment rounds. Its major focus is on preparing and writing the 10-page Project Description, developing and integrating the Objectives, and addressing the criteria for your ROPE: Research Opportunities and Performance Evidence.

Additional Information

Working with edited sections of a recent successful ARC Discovery Grant (DP19 round), you will be encouraged to engage interactively in a nitty-gritty nuts and bolts approach to getting the grant application written and submitted. Bring your ideas, questions and enthusiasm!

Lelia is Professor of Communications, School of Arts and Humanities at Edith Cowan University, Perth, Western Australia. Her research expertise centres on the risks and opportunities associated with young people’s digital media use. As an Australian Research Council (ARC) co-Chief Investigator, Lelia has engaged on an extended study of the internet in Australian family life. The ARC has funded this study with five ARC discovery grants since 2002, and a competitive allocation from within an ARC Centre of Excellence
