To mark the release of their 5th studio album SODA, The Rubens head back out on the road for their Australian album tour presented by triple j, Ripple Effect, WME & Ivy League. Hitting all major cities including Sydney, Melbourne, Hobart, Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra and Perth ahead of the global SODA album tour which will see them travel to 16 cities through UK, Europe and North America. 2024 has been a busy year for the 5 piece, having already played 28 shows in front of 20,000 regional Australia audiences, drip feeding singles Good Mood, Pets & Drugs, Liquid Gold and new favourite Black Balloon ahead of the album.Following on from their, 2021 #1 ARIA-Charting fourth album 0202, which was nominated for the prestigious Australian Music Prize (AMP) and won an ARIA for Best Producer with album tracks ‘Live In Life’ and ‘Masterpiece’ certified 4x Platinum and Platinum respectively in Australia.The SODA Australian Tour is not to be missed. Stone Week has long been part of UC's history. Have you always wanted to try boxing but have no idea where to start? This is the perfect class for beginners or intermediate boxers to put on mitts and start punching the bags. With a mix of cardio and technique-based boxing movements, this class is both fun and challenging! Do you find partaking in cardio hard or you make excuses in avoiding it, but you know that you should be doing some cardio? Consisting of the Cardio equipment in the Gym, combined with various body weight and free weights exercises. Our instructor will motivate you to push to your limits! Canberra's renowned music festival, Stonefest, announces an impressive local line-up as it returns with a DOUBLE-STAGE to the UC Lawns on Saturday, October 19, 2024. This year's edition is LOADED with a double stage line-up featuring Aria Award winning TEENAGE DADS and MAY-A, alongside the magnetic beats of Mansionair (DJ), Great Gable, the Sydney-based all-woman rock band The Buoys, and Kitschen Boy. Adding to the excitment, Stonefest '24 will host local talents like Lucy Sugerman, Zach Knows, Sonic Reducer, Jett Blyton, and captivating First Nations Singer-Songwriter Wallabindi. UC Students will have access to exclusive discounts on tickets - so message the group chat and rally your mates - we'll see you in October.

Start the weekend early and watch the UC Capitals take on Perth Lynx on Thursday 14 November at the AIS Arena. With an epic roster including Olympian Jade Melbourne, and US imports Charli Collier and Nicole Munger, this will no doubt be an explosive game. Let’s pack out the AIS and show the UC Caps that Canberra pride! Tip off is 6.30pm.

Thursday night basketball is back, with the UC Capitals host Alex Fowler and the Townsville Fire on 21 November from 6.30pm. With a stacked Caps squad including Jade Melbourne, Nyadiew Puoch and Chantel Horvat, the UC Capitals are ready to lift the roof off the AIS Arena. Be there as the Caps look to extinguish the Fire in Round 4 of the Cygnett WNBL.
