PrerequisitesThis unit is only available to students in the Juris Doctor, Master of Laws and Master of Legal Studies courses.
Students must have completed at least 24 credit points of prior law study at either undergraduate or postgraduate level.

This is a hands-on practical unit that concentrates on courtroom advocacy skills. In order to perform well in the unit, it is important to attend and participate in tutorials.
Half of the assessment involves reflecting on engagement with activities undertaken in the tutorials. There is no substitute for these activities.
Thirty percent of the assessment is based on making an oral presentation in a mock court proceeding. The tutorial activities each work help prepare you to present your case in court.
