3. Select an appropriate research methodology to answer their research question;
4. Develop a research project including addressing ethical and radiation issues; and
5. Write an appropriate proposal for their research project.

This unit will allow students to develop an appropriate medical imaging research project. The unit will also review the main theoretical ideas that underpin research in a range of health and medical contexts. The unit provides theoretical support for the students to evaluate the use of qualitative and quantitative research methods and designs appropriate to answer their research question, develop a research proposal, and to evaluate the need for and develop, if appropriate, ethics and radiation applications.
On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to

Inclusion and engagement
Due to MRS Practicum 2 attendance requirements, this unit has scheduled tutorials that commence when you return to campus from Clinical Block 3. This is to ensure that your learning is scaffolded before you undertake assessment tasks while on Clinical Block 4.
