Look: every good family has their quirks, the extended Loral Family is no different,

Still nostalgic for the past and riddled with grief from the loss of a loved one, Leonard Loral returns to a familiar place. On the side of a highway, Louis Leonard Loral, picks flowers in hopes to stop the upcoming Armageddon. In Central Park, Leopold Lancaster finds the solution to his largest fear and anxieties.

In a bizarre turn of events, this extended family’s roots weave and mingle under the soil of the U.S, creating clusters, that sprawl into each U.S. state. With family members feeling so distant from one another for so long, in actuality, they have now been so close thanks to the silliest yet intricate web created by pure coincidence.

As Louis hitchhikes across the U.S, so does the reader, being picked up by Californian criminals, 80s action movie cops, and stopping for a bite to eat at a highway diner, and having a drink at a Boston bar. Although appearing fractured and dissonant from one another, each stop is characterised by an absurdist, witty and playful tone, which makes the act of unravelling the family’s history extraordinary.
