Frankie is an international TESOL professor with strong UC roots

GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN TEACHING ENGLISH TO SPEAKERS OF OTHER LANGUAGES (TESOL), 2003 BACHELOR OF COMMUNICATIONS, 1998

Turning her passion for English and teaching into a full time career, two-time UC graduate, Frankie Daglis, is now an accomplished professor at Hongik University in Seoul, South Korea where she has been teaching for the last ten years. Frankie teaches five English classes per semester and is entirely responsible for running five courses from writing the syllabi, lectures and exams. Frankie's classes include Freshman English, Public Speaking and Intermediate Living English.

Frankie's teaching career began in 2002 when her UC Graduate Diploma in TESOL helped pave the way for her first English teaching job at the Australian National University College. This eye opening experience cemented her love for teaching, and in 2008, Frankie completed her Masters in TESOL at the University of Southern Queensland.

Before becoming a teacher, Frankie's first UC degree in Communication was instrumental in her becoming a published academic writer. As a writer, Frankie specialises in creating educational material for other TESOL teachers. Her work in creating the "Jump into English" and "Fly to the World" programs for Korean middle school students is one of her finest writing achievements.

"Studying at UC were some of the best times of my life," Frankie recalls. "I would be very happy to work at UC as a lecturer or tutor upon my return to Australia in the near future." With so much teaching passion and experience, we believe Frankie would make a great UC professor!
