Unknown: Antique 18th Century Persian Bowl
The Work of Art
This blue and white glazed bowl is an example of Eighteenth Century middle-eastern decorative ceramic ware. It has a floral pattern in the centre in blues and heavy black lines. From similar examples in other collections, the bowl is likely to be attributed to Iran and the Qajar Dynasty and is of stone-paste design. The bowl shows signs of wear and tear and subsequent restorative work which has yellowed in time.
