Christopher Smith: Untitled

The Artist

Christopher Smith was born in Melbourne, in 1960. He studied sculpture gaining an Associate Diploma in 1982 at the Canberra School of art before going onto gain a Bachelors Degree in sculpture in 1987.According to the Ben Grady Gallery, Christopher went onto exhibit his work  seven group exhibitions in the four years since graduating. The Work of Art

Although the work of art is untitled, it is an interesting array of shapes depicted in thick gauge wire and painted in different colours Originally this work was the centre-piece in the atrium  in Building 11 but has since been removed. Works of a similar style can also be found in the National Gallery of Australia.
