The Work of Art
River Night is a very colourful image that depicts a turtle with a school of fish jumping over it with cranes looking on . This is a limited edition screenprint (version 8 of 90) that was produced and published in 1993. The image gives a good taster of Ambelin's style as an illustrator. The use of bright blocks of colour are very attractive to younger audiences. Her illustration is also remniscent of the works by Sally Morgan. This is the only represented work in the University of Canberra's Art Collection by Ambelin Kwaymellina.
