The Work of Art
This public artwork, was created by Alex Kosmas from steel, brass, cast bronze and gold leaf. The tree laid out on the board room table like an agenda item is an item of pathos, a state reinforced by the cage, which surrounds and unites the world of business with the world of nature. The work of art was first exhibited at the Sculpture by the Sea exhibition in 2009 and then at Cottesloe in 2010. The sculpture was purchased by the University of Canberra later that year.
