Art Collection Management
At the time of writing, the University of Canberra has almost 700 works of art in its art collection. On top of the sculptural installations, paintings, drawings and prints the University has a duty of care for, the coordinator also manages smaller collections including about a 100 gifts from universities from across the world and sporting memorabilia. In order to manage this diverse collection effectively, the coordinator is developing a collections management plan which will be central to a framework of procedures, policies and forms. This policy will outline how the collection will be used and cared for.
Next to the Collections Management Plan, the Coordinator is setting up a number of Emergency recovery bins in order to manage any unforeseen incidents. Watch this space for more information.
