Procedures

If you test positive for COVID-19:

  1. Follow ACT Health requirements – information for people who test positive for COVID-19.
  2. Notify your manager/supervisor.
  3. Advice for those recovering from COVID-19 is available on the ACT Health website – recovering from COVID-19.

If you are a household contact or you have been exposed to a positive COVID-19 case:

  1. Follow ACT Health requirements - information for people exposed to COVID-19.
  2. Notify your manager/supervisor.

Cleaning

The University has a regular comprehensive cleaning regime in place. For details on these cleaning regimes refer to Cleaning: University of Canberra.

What to do if you are unwell

Please do not come to campus if you are unwell.

The University reiterates the need for staff to take the necessary precautions should they be unwell.

If you are unwell and presenting with  COVID-19 symptoms, please get tested. If you are uncertain about your symptoms, you should consult your medical doctor.

What can you do to protect yourself?

  • Wear a face mask, or follow ACT Health advice relating to the use of face masks in high risk settings.
  • Practice sound hand and respiratory hygiene as advised by the World Health Organization.
  • Wipe down computers, keyboards, mouse devices, desks, phones or laptops using disinfectant wipes.
  • If you are eligible for the vaccine, please consider getting vaccinated. More details on the vaccination program is available on the ACT Health website.
