Discover Study Abroad

Travel, learn and explore the world!

Studying your degree can be so much more than just lectures and assignments. You can also travel the world, experience new cultures, and gain a new perspective in your learning.

And best of all, you can do all this while earning credits that count towards your degree!

So let’s jump in and explore how you can internationalise your time at university.

Five great reasons you should study abroad

1. Immerse yourself in a different culture.

2. See the world from a different perspective.

3. Develop your independence while gaining key skills valued by employers.

4. Pick up a new language.

5. Add your course fees and travel expenses to your HELP Loan.

Types of study abroad

Study Abroad
& Exchange

As an exchange student, you can study at one of our exchange partner universities. UC has partners in Europe, Asia, North America and South America.

If you are unable to find a prearranged program in a country of your choice, we can help you apply directly to a specific university, get organised and get credit for your studies.

Short Course
Programs

If course requirements, work obligations or family commitments hold you back from experiencing a semester abroad, consider a short term program! Available during the summer and winter breaks, they provide you with an opportunity to study and travel overseas without disrupting normal study periods.

International
Internships

Many degrees can include an international experience, such as an internship, community project, or a clinical placement. It’s a great way to expand your mind and professional network.

Faculty Led
Programs

Short term programs run over 2-5 weeks, designed and led by UC faculty members specifically for UC degrees. They function like an international field trip as part of a unit.
